Anger Blocks The Will Of God

Anger is next of kin to unbelief. When I am angry I get little or nothing done for the Lord. I spin my wheels. I waste my time. Anger usually takes me out of the will of God. When Satan or someone under his control succeed in making me angry they have won a victory. I was acquainted with someone whose chief delight in our relationship was to make me angry. If he could not make me angry, he was angry. When he succeeded in making me angry, there was a look of satisfaction on his face. He had convinced himself that he did not need my Jesus. He convinced himself that the peace I had with the Lord was not real. Anger also breaks the fellowship between me and those who obey the Lord, even when the anger is not directed at them. They are commanded to make no friendship with me. Anger is no friend of mine or yours. It is not the fruit of the Spirit.

James 1:20: For the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God.

Matthew 13:58: And he did not many mighty works there because of their unbelief.

Proverbs 22:24: Make no friendship with an angry man; and with a furious man thou shalt not go:

Proverbs 14:17a: He that is soon angry dealeth foolishly: . . .

Titus 1:7: For a bishop must be blameless, as the steward of God; not selfwilled, not soon angry, not given to wine, no striker, not given to filthy lucre;

Ephesians 4:26: Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath:
